Tatari evolution priority: T1-T3 Tier List & Tips

Tatari evolution priority is easiest to manage when you divide progression into three goals: build a functional story roster, unlock Dojo bonuses, and then upgrade the Tatari that gain their defining abilities at T3. This order gives new players a stable team without forcing every resource into one favorite unit.

Story stages can require a broad roster, so the first milestone is usually a group of 15 usable Tatari. These do not need to be identical in strength. Instead, aim for coverage across elements, reliable damage, healing, and at least a few useful debuffs.

The most valuable early evolutions are those that add a meaningful effect at T2. Fragile increases the damage an enemy receives, while Weak reduces the damage that enemy deals. Either effect can improve a developing team more than a small attack increase.

The T1-to-T2 stage is about expanding your options. Some Tatari become immediately useful after evolving, while others mainly serve as preparation for a stronger T3 form. Keep those roles separate so you do not spend scarce resources on a unit that will not help your current content.

Ash Lava is a strong support-oriented choice because its evolved form combines healing with an attack boost. This makes it useful in formations that need both sustain and damage. Gunbok is valuable when your roster lacks Fragile, especially against difficult targets that become easier to defeat when they take increased damage.

Seal is another practical early evolution. Its bouncing attack gains Weak, allowing it to reduce incoming enemy pressure while still contributing damage. Droppit is similarly useful when its upgraded effect adds Fragile to its existing control pattern.

The “save for T3” category is not a negative rating. Monkey and Butterfly may be weak investments if you need immediate T2 power, but they become much more important once their third forms are available. Use them when your evolution requirements, events, and roster position line up.

T3 is where evolution priority becomes more selective. The best upgrades add coverage, spread control effects, protect allies, or change how a Tatari performs an entire role. Before committing, check both the star requirement and the active trial condition. Some T3 paths depend on rotating activities, so the strongest choice may not be available immediately.

Monkey is one of the clearest high-priority upgrades because its attack expands from a narrower pattern into three-lane damage. This improves wave clearing and reduces the pressure on the rest of the formation.

Butterfly is another major target. Its T3 form can spread Sleep-related control through nearby Tatari, turning a single control effect into a broader disruption tool. This is especially valuable when enemies arrive in groups or when stopping one dangerous target is not enough.

After the game-changing upgrades, prioritize T3 forms that solve a specific weakness. Ash Lava helps teams that struggle to keep units alive. Mushroom provides several useful effects at once. Deer is attractive when your formation needs piercing damage, while Penguin can protect a developing roster by continuing to absorb pressure after being defeated.

Some units are strong but should remain secondary because their value is concentrated in one mode. Crab may be excellent in Gold Rush-style content, while Wolf or Unicorn may be more attractive in Dojo or specialized challenges. Their value depends on your current objectives, not only their overall strength.

Dojo progression should influence your evolution order, but it should not replace good roster planning. Elemental badges provide percentage bonuses that affect Tatari of the matching element across content. Unlocking a Dojo can therefore improve several units at once, making a practical filler more valuable than an isolated damage upgrade.

Use flexible picks when you are close to a requirement but lack one or two evolved Tatari of a specific element. Cactus, Moon Bug, Stream, Lobster, Cat, Tiger, and Chameleon can fill different needs depending on your available roster and preferred content.

Tiger and Chameleon are especially specialized. Tiger can function as a durable distraction that recovers and returns, while Chameleon offers area damage, increased range, and temporary invisibility-style protection. These traits can be powerful in Dojo battles without making them automatic priorities for general story progression.

A balanced approach is more efficient than pushing one Tatari to T4 while several elements remain underdeveloped. Dojo requirements reward depth, and a broad set of T3 forms can provide more account value than a single highly upgraded unit.

Evolution materials arrive gradually, so the best long-term plan is to avoid upgrades that provide little immediate value. Wishboxes are especially important because they can accelerate a chosen Tatari, but spending them on a low-priority form can delay a stronger T3 project.

A common mistake is treating every T4 evolution as the next natural step. T4 upgrades add substantial stats and an elemental aura, but they generally make more sense after the roster’s important T3 abilities are established. A developed T3 core can improve multiple modes, while an early T4 may only strengthen one slot.

Use this order for most developing rosters:

1. Establish 15 dependable story Tatari.
2. Add early Fragile, Weak, healing, and attack-buff effects.
3. Unlock useful Dojo bonuses with efficient elemental fillers.
4. Push Monkey, Butterfly, and other high-impact T3 projects.
5. Upgrade support, tank, and specialized units according to your modes.
6. Consider T4 only after the core T3 roster is stable.

The correct priority can still change with your account. A player focused on Dojo may value Tiger or Chameleon earlier than a story-focused player. Someone struggling with survival may prefer Penguin, Ash Lava, or Mushroom before another damage dealer. The strongest plan is the one that addresses your current bottleneck.
