Tatari fire tier list: 2026 Rankings & Build Tips

The rankings below compare fire Tatari against the wider Tatari roster rather than only comparing units within the fire element. That distinction matters: a unit can be excellent among fire options while still falling behind more versatile choices from other elements.

The list also assumes each Tatari reaches its intended third evolution. Common units currently have two evolutions, so their ceiling and investment path should be judged differently.

Pyro Hound is the safest first fire investment for players who need a dependable frontline. It functions as a guardian rather than a traditional tank, but its health, defense, and area attack allow it to absorb pressure while still contributing damage. Its weaken effect also reduces incoming damage, extending the team’s survival window.

Fire Moth fills a different but equally important role. Although the class label suggests a tank, its practical function is closer to a support buffer. At the third evolution, Fire Moth provides a nearby buff and healing, making positioning central to its performance. It is most effective when surrounded by damage dealers and protected by a frontline unit.

Salamander and Firefox are the primary fire Tatari choices when your formation lacks damage. Both are more consistent offensive investments than the lower-tier alternatives, but they approach damage differently.

Salamander brings burn, giving it useful damage-over-time pressure against bosses and durable enemies. Its third evolution is also easier to reach than Firefox’s, so it can become an effective damage option earlier in a progression path.

Firefox focuses on larger area bursts. It can produce strong immediate damage, making it a good choice when waves need to be cleared quickly. The tradeoff is a higher investment requirement before it reaches its best performance.

B-tier does not mean unusable. These Tatari are better understood as specialists whose value changes with the mode, stage layout, or progression point.

Fire Skunk is one of the most appealing alternatives because its gas effect can deal area damage and later explode for additional pressure. It is a strong B+ option, especially when coverage matters, but it does not consistently match the broad value of Salamander or Firefox.

Soup Hog is more useful early than late. Its shields, healing, and attack support can solve progression problems before a roster has enough specialized units. Later, direct damage often becomes more important, reducing its campaign priority.

Fire Hat is a useful Horde support because of its nearby attack buff. It was stronger before release but was adjusted, so it should be treated as a mode-specific helper rather than an early universal priority.

Fire Shrimp has rapid attacks and burn, but its limited range restricts its placement. It is most attractive in boss encounters where enemies stay within reach. Tiger is particularly valuable in Fire Dojo and can stall early campaign pushes, while Chipmunk’s five-lane coverage helps with certain campaign and Gold Rush layouts.

A good fire roster does not require every fire Tatari at maximum investment. Start with a clear role structure: one frontline anchor, one support or buffer, and one or two damage dealers. Then add specialists only when a mode exposes a weakness.

Community discussions about which units to upgrade first also reflect the importance of prioritizing units that combine multiple functions, such as healing, damage, range, or support. Apply that same principle when comparing fire options.
